Responsibility

"Each of us
has the right
and the responsibility
to asses the road
which lie ahead
and those over which
we have traveled,
and if the feature road
looms ominous or unpromising,
and the road back
uninviting-inviting,
then we need to gather
our resolve and carrying
only the necessary baggage,
step off that road
into another direction.
If the new choice is also unpalatable,
without embarrassment,
we must be ready to change that one as well."  ~ Maya Angelou
.
.
Change, balance, resolve, necessary, responsibility; words that
the average, ordinary, mature person faces every day without
dread or hesitation.

Sometimes the specter of change looms as a life altering possibility
when in true perspective the change has already occurred
and the pain we feel is in the not being able to let go.

Don't know if you are coming or going, let go and let God,
a loving Higher Power will give you the chance,
the choice to do for yourself what is the next right thing.

Remember, if it is not good for you, it will not be good for anybody.

What we often feel as a possible harm done to others by altering
a relationship may be in fact a blessing in disguise for them and yourself
because boundaries and respect have been so clouded and tainted
by mistrust and fear that what we perceive as guilt and shame
is a past that must be forgiven.

Today, be responsible, change, move on, learn from the past
so that the insanity does not have to be repeated, plan for the future
but understand that the most important day is today
and doing what makes you happy is the best thing you will do for yourself,
others and your Higher Power.

Today, do the will of the Great Creator, the God of your understanding,
be kind, be loving, be patient and tolerant, be forgiving ,
be responsible,
and be the person God wants you to be, the person who will make
this world a better place for having you in it.

Happiness is unconditional love.

No. Nada, Nil

No,

Nada,

Nil,

Nein,

Zilch.
Zero.

Even in the life of the most positive person

there becomes a time when the answer must be

a resounding…. NO.

The devil is out there just waiting for you to make a mistake.

Then, once you make one little mistake and don't get caught, it might be

alright to intentionally make another, just one more, little mistake.

However, once the snowball starts rolling down hill
the avalanche is always just behind.

You eventually get caught and the consequences are never pleasant.

All you had to do was to just say NO.

"The devil has put a penalty on all things we enjoy in life.
Either we suffer in health or we suffer in soul or we get fat.”
~ Albert Einstein

There is one thing in life that we can enjoy that the Devil

does not want to mess with.

Love.

Love yourself, your family, your friends, your job, the earth,

and most of all, your Higher Power.

Your Higher Power is the one who gives you the ability

and the strength to love.

There is a large difference between loving and obsessing.

God cherishes Love, the Devil craves obsession.

Today, be aware of the things you love and try not to obsess over anything.

Today, just one piece of cake, not the whole cake.

Today, buy one pair of shoes, not two, three or more.

Today, make love, do not just have sex.

Do not gamble away the children's milk money.

Correct your children, but allow them to grow.

Do not start or spread rumors about anyone,

even if it is true and they deserve it.

Do not envy your neighbor's boat or wife.

Do not make the Devil happy.

"The world is a dangerous place,
not because of those who do evil,
but because of those who look on and do nothing."
~ Albert Einstein

Today, learn to say no, nil, nada, nein, zilch, or zero in a positive way.

Let your loving voice be heard today.

Always remember that the will of your Higher Power is to do

the next right thing in the service of your Higher Power and all of mankind.

Happiness is helping someone help themselves.

Deception

"The

worst

of all

deceptions

is

self-deception."

~ Socrates

I think therefore I am deluded.

Not always wrong, but rarely 100% right.

Change is the essence of life.

Self deception is, you think there is no need to change.

Self deception is, you think you are changing.

Self deception is, you think you have changed.

When you look in the mirror you see perfection.

When you look into the mirror you are afraid to look into the eyes

of the image you see and become brutally honest with that person.

You refuse to have friends who do not agree with you all of the time.

You think your Higher Power is not paying attention.

DO NOT BE DECEIVED....

There is always a need to change because today is a different day.

There is a need to change because the will of your

Higher Power is to make today better than yesterday.

The essence of change is acceptance.

There is a difference between "I'll have it my way," and

"I'll take it God's way."

Accepting life when it is your way is not change, accepting

things when it is the will of your Higher Power is change.

You are changing when you accept that everything

that happens in God's world is exactly as God wants it to be.

Change is not a think or a thing, it is and action.

Be different, accept different.

The essence of acceptance is love.

The universe is a spiritual cosmos of which you are part of and

"Love" is the driving force of change in the universe.

It is the will of a Higher Power that things move on and

things will get better, in spite of the thinking of man.

Do not think that you have changed; show others that you have changed.

Do not think that you have changed; know you have done the will of

your Higher Power, the next right thing, in service to self, others

and your Higher Power.

Love is doing the next right thing.

Do not deceive yourself, accept, love and change.

Do nor deceive yourself, only God is perfect.

Happiness is helping someone help themselves.

Boredom

"Life is

never boring,

but some people

choose

to be bored."

~ Wayne Dyer

Boredom is a disease of the mind and psyche, an insidious disease.

It not only takes the joy out of life, but the creativity as well.

No one of God's children should ever be bored with life.

Alcoholics and addicts tend to become bored very easily.

Alcoholics and addicts do not like who they are, they are never happy

with where they are and there is always someone to blame.

Because of the denial and the justification, the addict and the alcoholic are

always the last to know that they have a problem.

After all, I was drinking because I was bored.

I was bored so I went shopping.

I was bored so I stopped at McDonald's for a burger or two or three.

I get so excited when I'm at the gaming parlor.

One little pill will pick me up.

I never get bored when I'm having sex with someone other than my spouse.

The denials and justifications go on and on, one for every drink,

one for every drug and one for every occasion.

The debacle always begins with just one.

If you like who you are, and if you like where you are,

and if you mind your own business, you will never become bored.

It sounds like it is an easy change, just don't get bored,

but to the affected addict and alcoholic it appears to be an impossible task.

A friend can show the way from misery to happiness.

A Higher Power can guide the hopeless to a faith that is never boring.

Bored is being selfish, self-centered, arrogant, egotistical and "It is all about Me."

Healthy is being kind, being loving, being patient and tolerant, being forgiving and

being the person that your Higher Power wants you to be.

Today, try to do the will of your Higher Power, guaranteed not to be boring.

Today, find a friend who is never bored and be willing to follow the leader.

Get excited, know good feelings, laugh, and love

and be the person others seek to alleviate their boredom.

Happiness is helping someone help themselves.

Meditation

Spiritual,

Mental,

or Physical,

the object

of meditation

is to learn

how every fiber

of your person

is connected within yourself and with your universe.

You can lock out the world, Concentrate, and learn to focus the mind on a single

thing; your breathing, your mantra or just your belly button.

You can invite the whole world in, Mindfulness, and learn to accept whatever

arises in your senses.

You can sit quietly, Visualization, and bring images to mind; shapes, colors,

or mandalas, to soothe your spirit.

You can move pensively, Movement, the wellness of the body is learned in such

disciplines as Tai Chi or Yoga and in some martial art forms or just by walking.

You can cultivate a positive mood or beneficial outlook, Loving Kindness,

through the contemplation of such feelings as compassion for all people.

Love yourself, God made you perfect to do his will.

Love others; God gave you everyone in your life so

that, good or bad, you may learn how to do the will of your Higher Power.

Have a problem, Transformative; seek solace or the solution to specific problems by

turning negative emotions into positive energies.

These are but a few of the forms of meditation taught by different gurus

over the centuries. Buddha said that there were 84000 ways to meditate.

Try the meditations that appeal to you, use as many as you like,

but know that you need to learn from someone.

The secret to meditation is the discipline; you must do it on a scheduled basis

so that you are in practice when an emergency arises.

Hold on to what you like, seek you own, but know that before

you can work on yourself you must first learn who you are.

Remember, that you change daily, and who you were yesterday

may not be the same person that you are today.

Friends and family are usually only too glad to give you advice and directions.

Need more help?

The teacher, the preacher, the rabbi, the guru, the Indian chief,

the baker, any human with ears that speaks the same language

of the heart will do fine in a pinch. The dog and the cat are not human.

When you have learned an honest meditation, you will know

if the changes in you are for the good or for the worse.

Good meditation is done on a daily basis to improve your

conscious contact with your Higher Power, and your soul.

Need a mantra, borrow someone’s until you have your own,

borrow mine:  "Be Kind, Be Loving, Be patient and Tolerant, Be forgiving

and Be the person God wants me to be."

Repeat the above five times and when you leave the house,

do so with a positive attitude in your heart and a smile on your face.

Write your mantra, the one you borrowed or the one you designed specifically

for you, on a piece of paper and keep it handy until you know it well in your heart.

Repeat your prayer, your mantra, and meditate as often as necessary during the day

or whenever you feel your attitude slipping.

"The important thing is this to be able, at any moment,
to sacrifice what we are for what we could become."

~ Maharishi Mahesh Yogi         ( Guru to the Beatles )

Happiness is knowing how to Meditate  to become the best you can be.

Happiness is helping someone help themselves.
