Mushroom Love

Love is

like a

poisonous

mushroom --

you don't

know if it

is the real thing

until it is too late.

We love to love

in spite of its possible consequences.

The world revolves around love and a good balance

of love of self, love of family, love of a special other,

and love for your fellow man will make life most enjoyable.

Some of us are born with broken pickers, and it appears

to be both hereditary and learned.

If Mom and Dad have been married and divorced multiple

times, the children are likely to do the same.

To break the cycle of broken relationships, try staying out of a

relationship until you learn how to pick healthy mushrooms.

Use a friend, hopefully an expert, to help your pick your mushrooms.

Rely on friends who have survived and grown into a loving

relationship and seek their advice.

Most importantly, when good advice is offered, take it.

"I am... a mushroom;
On whom the dew of heaven drops now and then."
     ~ John Ford
If you really love someone you would be willing to eat

poisonous mushrooms for them, but if they loved you back,

they would never ask you to.

Have faith, your Higher Power knows that human nature

is to have a man and a woman love, live and grow together

into old age, and he will not abandon you.

If your picker is broken, go to a good place recommended

by the butcher, the baker, the preacher, the rabbi, the teacher,

the Indian chief, or the candlestick maker and start by

choosing to be a friend to one person of the same sex as you.

Talk to your new friend about love and feelings.

Learn that a relationship is a two way street, no hostages allowed.

Have your new friend help you grow your circle of mushrooms.

When you have a circle of love, the poisonous mushrooms will

stand out in the crowd and you can learn not to pick them.

Do not be deceived by appearances, by hidden ulterior motives,

sex, money, things, or any of the other traps that

bad mushrooms use to deceive their intended victim.

Stop picking mushrooms, mushrooms are a fungus that thrive

on the remains of their victims.

Pick your friends among the flowers and the trees

that grow on natures love.

"To love and to be loved
is to feel the sun from both sides."
             ~ David Viscott

Stay in the sunlight, only mushrooms grow in the dark.

Do not smother your love, let it breath and let it shine.

Love is a peck on the cheek, a squeeze of the hand,

and a quiet "Thank You."

Happiness is helping someone help themselves.

What An Order

Most people

have a

God,

of their

understanding,

that they

worship

on a

regular basis.

The rituals of most who worship a Higher Power include a

request to be forgiven for any wrongdoings.

Wrongdoings are usually evil thoughts and evil actions

which are not of service to self, others or your Higher Power.

Lying, cheating, stealing, character assassination, greed, and

the list goes on, are some of the more common moral errors.

The penalty for not living a moral life or not admitting when you

have made a mistake is to live a life filled with guilt and shame.

A life filled with remorse can never be happy, joyous and free.

"There is no person so severely punished,
as those who subject themselves
to the whip of their own remorse."
            ~Seneca

You must have faith that a Higher Power will forgive you

of your past moral lapses, if you can forgive yourself.

To forgive yourself you must clean house and let go and let God.

Admit to yourself, to God, and another human being, the

exact nature of your wrongs.

Priest, preacher, teacher, friend, mentor, stranger or anyone

who speaks the same language as you will be a satisfactory

choice to listen to your story. (Notice: No Family)

Pets, the Chinese laundry man, or the Armenian taxi cab driver,

do not qualify unless you speak their language.

To look at ones self and take a honest moral inventory

may seem impossible, what an order.

I can't go through with it, should become,

I must do it.

"It's not what you look at that matters,
it's what you see."
 ~Henry David Thoreau

You can do it.

Millions of people do it as a daily,

if not as an every Friday, Saturday or Sunday routine.

If you want your religion to be different, pick a different day.

Most people take their moral inventories and make them a part of their prayers.

"Repentance is accepted remorse."                    ~ Anne Sophie Swetchine

Clean up the wreckage of the past and learn to live in today.

Could have done, would have done and should have done,

are not islands that need to be visited if you want a happy vacation.

Ask your Higher Power or a friend and they will gladly

provide you with a boat to get you off those deserted islands.

Staying close to the will and the course of your Higher Power

is the best advice to avoid being lost at sea.

Today, may your ship be blessed so that you will not

run aground on any hidden immoral reefs and sand bars.

Today, may your course be a smooth sail towards your happy destiny.

Happiness is helping someone help themselves.
